Former Indian right-handed batsman Sachin Tendulkar took the batting pads on after five and a half years during the Bush Fire Cricket Bash.

Bush Fire Cricket Bash, a special exhibition game was played in order to raise funds for the damages occured during the wild fire that stunned Australia few days ago.

Ricky Ponting and Adam Gilchrist were the skippers of the two teams competed in the match where the sides were named in their names respectively. Former Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar was the coach for the team led by Ricky Ponting.

But Sachin Tendulkar put the batting pads on during the innings break of the game as Australian woman cricketer Elyse Perry requested him to play one over off her bowling. The master accepted her request and took the strike.

Sachin Tendulkar pushed the first delivery itself to the boundary in the leg side. It was a fabulous moment for fans as he was taking strike after five and a half years. But he timed all the six deliveries really well.
