“Two best friends to the rescue”

Title: Two best friends to the rescueTime really flies. Two best friends Shakib Al Hasan & Tamim Iqbal who were used to be the back bone of Bangladesh team in every format of the game is now playing their 50th test. Bangladesh is now not a team like before. They aren’t dependent only on these two anymore.

Everyone in the team contributes, but when on any day everyone fails to perform, Shakib and Tamim never fail to pick up the team.

The first day of the first Test between Bangladesh and Australia was no difference when Bangladesh lost 3 wickets for just 10 runs after Mushfiqur won the toss & elected to bat first.

Pat Cummings’ fiery spell made early inroads for Bangladesh as Sabbir, Kayes & Soumya Sarkar had no clue how to play him.

Then in came Shakib Al Hasan and changed the momentum of the game. He started playing aggressively right from the beginning and counter-attacked them.

On the other hand, Tamim Iqbal was rock solid with his defense and punished the spinners by hitting some beautiful sixes coming down the wicket. The duo took Bangladesh from 10/3 to 165/3; unfortunately Tamim departed for 71 runs.

Shakib couldn’t continue after that as he also departed for 84 runs and then the collapse began once again.

Bangladesh bundled out for just 260 runs and it looked quite a small total until Shakib Al Hasan & Mehedi Hasan started to show their magic.

Australia now are in all sorts of pressure as they ended their day with 18 runs losing 3 wickets. At the moment it looks like Shakib Al Hasan will give his anything but not the No. 1 all-rounder spot to anyone while Tamim Iqbal is just keep getting better and better and on the way to achieve bigger things for Bangladesh.

With these duo being around, the Tigers will never feel that they are out of the game no matter how bad the situation is.
