Two T20Is added to Bangladesh in updated FTP

Two more T20 Internationals have been added to Bangladesh’s fixture in the updated Future Tours Programme (FTP) 2019-2023. Overall, they will play the fourth-most international marches in this period. [এফটিপি অনুযায়ী বাংলাদেশের ভাগ্যে ১২৪ টি ম্যাচ] 

Bangladesh were supposed to play 122 matches in FTP proposed after December 8. But the new one has added two more matches to their account. They will play 124 internationals including 35 Tests, 45 ODIs and 44 T20Is.

India will play the most number of international matches, 151 (37 Tests, 61 ODIs, 53 T20Is). West Indies will play 149 (29 Tests, 62 ODIs, 58 T20Is). England will play 138 (47 Tests, 49 ODIs, 42 T20Is).

Pakistan were supposed to play 104 matches. However, they managed to get 17 matches more. They will play 30 Tests, 43 ODIs and 48 T20Is.

Australia will play 123 international matches (40 Tests, 45 ODIs, 38 T20Is), South Africa 122 (32 Tests, 45 ODIs and T20Is each), New Zealand 119 (28 Tests, 45 ODIs, 46 T20Is), Sri Lanka 117 (29 Tests, 51 ODIs, 37 Tests.

Low-value teams like Ireland will play 109 matches (16 Tests, 49 ODIs, 44 T20Is), Zimbabwe 96 (19 Tests, 40 ODIs, 37 T20Is) and Afghanistan 88 (14 Tests, 41 ODIs, 33 T20Is).

The new FTP will be approved in February next year. It will begin from May 2019, when the nine-team Test league begins. Each team will play six series in two-year period. The ODI league will begin in 2020.

The ICC World T20 2020 in Australia is scheduled for October-November. The 2023 ODI World Cup will be played in India in February-March.
