Vaughan trolls Manjrekar on Twitter

Besides on-field rivalry among the teams in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, cricket fraternity witnessed an exchange of words between cricket expert Michael Vaughan and Sanjay Manjrekar on Twitter and perhaps it was a bitter one which ended up in a wrong way.

Both of them were seen involved in a Twitter banter after the former England captain multiple shots at Sanjay Manjrekar over his ‘bits and pieces’ comment on Ravindra Jadeja.

And now, Michael Vaughan claimed that the cricketer-turned-commentator has blocked him on Twitter platform and nobody saw this coming. “Come on Sanjay unblock me on Twitter … It’s only Bantz … !!!!,” Vaughan made it clear that it was only banter and has nothing personal with Sanjay.

Sanjay Manjrekar has come under fire quite recently on the internet after he tagged India bowling all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja a ‘bits and pieces’ cricketer and added that the left-arm spinner would never be his first choice option for an ODI match considering the form that Jadeja is in.

However, after Jadeja put up a stellar display against Sri Lanka in a World Cup league fixture, Sanjay Manjrekar praised Jadeja by calling him as a ‘street-smart’ cricketer.

It was only recently both Vaughan and Manjrekar engaged in a verb spat after the latter picked Ravindra Jadeja in his predicted India semi-final squad after calling him a ‘bits and pieces’ player.

Taking a dig at Sanjay Manjrekar, Vaughan tweeted on Saturday: “What’s your team then my dear Sanjay !! Are you picking any bits & pieces cricketers ?”

To which, Manjrekar replied to Vaughan saying: “‘Predicted’ my dear Vaughan…not ‘my’ team.”

After Jadeja earned a place in playing XI in team’s semi-final match against New Zealand, Vaughan utilised the chance and posted a series of tweets mentioning ‘bits and pieces’. “Bits & pieces time … !!#CWC19,” he tweeted.

In another tweet, he wrote: “Bloody hell Bits & Piece can Spin it …. #CWC19.”

It seems that Vaughan’s Meets did not go down too well with Manjrekar, who later blocked him on Twitter. Even today, Michael Vaughan has been constantly targeting Sanjay Manjrekar indirectly.
