VIDEO: Aaron Finch helps a limping Mitchell Marsh to walk back after getting out
RCB beat SRH by ten runs at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. The likes of Devdutt Padikkal and AB de Villiers scored a fifty apiece and helped RCB post a challenging total of 163 on the board.
In reply, SRH struggled to get going in the initial overs after David Warner was run out by Umesh Yadav. While Manish Pandey and Jonny Bairstow restored normalcy in the game, both were removed by Chahal.
Vijay Shankar was clean bowled by Yuzvendra Chahal. The wrist-spinner was the game-changer for RCB as he picked three wickets to his name.
After the dismissal of Vijay Shankar, their wickets were fallen like cards. Chahal was partnered by Navdeep Saini who destroyed the middle-order batsmen of SRH.
SRH tried hard but couldn’t manage to chase down the target and eventually fell short of 10 runs. Chahal’s impressive bowling figures read 4-0-18-3. He was adjudged as the Player of the Match.
Mitchell Marsh had twisted his ankle in the first innings
The Australian all-rounder, Mitchell Marsh twisted his ankle while bowling his first over. He could not control his pain and left the ground to take the treatment.
Though he has not recovered from the ankle injury, he decided to bat for his franchise when his team were struggling with the bat.
On the first ball he faced, he tried to clear the long-on. But, with the pain, he could not produce the power to hit the six and got caught at long-on.
After his dismissal, Marsh could not even stand and was limping with heavy pain. However, the Australian skipper, Aaron Finch helped him while he was walking back to the pavilion.
