Pace spearhead Wes Agar led Adelaide Strikers to a 16-run win over Perth Scorchers. It is worth mentioning here that Phil Salt’s second half-century in his last four games helped Adelaide Strikers to 181-5 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. Apart from Phil Salt, Jake Weatherald and Travis Head scored 35 runs each at Optus Stadium.

However, the massive target proved to be beyond the bounds of possibility for Perth Scorchers despite a stupendous knock from Liam Livingstone (79). Adelaide Strikers’ pacer Wes Agar claimed 3/36 to his impressive bowling spell.

With the victory, Adelaide is now positioned at the second position in the points table. Having already achieved victories, they will not have to contest the eliminator round of the playoffs.
