The Indian opener, Rohit Sharma missed his third T20 International century by just 3 runs as he gone for 97 runs against Ireland. In the first T20I against Ireland, batting first, India posted a healthy total of 208 in 20 overs.
Both Indian openers, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma gave a good start to the Indian team. They added 160 runs for the 1st wicket before Dhawan being dismissed on 74. Dhawan’s innings include 5 boundaries and 5 sixes.
The skipper Virat Kohli promoted Suresh Raina, Ms Dhoni and Hardik Pandya at No.3, No.4 and No.5 respectively. Suresh Raina and Ms Dhoni went back to pavilion after hitting a couple of boundaries.
But, the Indian opener Rohit Sharma had a chance to register his third T20I century. He was in full form and swings the bat on 97 before getting bowled to Peter Chase.
