VIDEO: Jofra Archer imitating Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling action
The fast bowler from England, Jofra Archer has been in brilliant touch with the bat in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League (IPL). He picked up 2 wickets conceding 31 runs against one of the strongest teams of this IPL.
However, the highlight of the game was when he tried to imitate the bowling action of Jasprit Bumrah, who has been India’s main bowler across all formats of the game. Along with his excellent bowling, he also took a brilliant catch to help his side to beat Mumbai Indians.
Coming to the match, batting first Mumbai Indians lost their main batsmen, de Kock for just 6 runs. However, the steady knocks from Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav provided a platform to their finishers.
Saurabh Tiwary and Hardik Pandya who had a role to score more runs at the death overs smashed the bowling attack of Rajasthan all around the ground. While Tiwary scored 34 off 25 balls, the right-hander Hardik Pandya plundered 60 runs off just 21 deliveries. At the end of the first inning, the Mumbai Indians posted a total of 195 on their board.
At first, the target of 196-run looked so tough for Rajasthan. But in the end, Ben Stokes’ bat shone timely. He played an unbeaten 107-run tornado inning off just 60 balls. He hit 14 fours and three sixes.
Sanju Samson was on par with Ben Stokes. He played 31 balls and made an unbeaten 54-run. Samson hit 4 boundaries and 3 sixes.
Only two wickets fell. Robin Uthappa was dismissed for 13 off 11 balls. Smith, who came down to number three, left with 11 runs off 8 balls. In the end, Rajasthan reached the stage of victory in 18.2 overs (with 10 balls in hand).
Mumbai won the toss and elected to bat first at the start of the inning. They lost their most in-form batsman Quinton De Kock early. After that, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav made a good partnership between them. At the end, with Hardik Pandya’s blistering 60-run inning off just 21 balls, Mumbai managed to gather a big total of 195-run.
As a result of this victory, Rajasthan kept their chances to play in the play-offs. They have 10 points in 12 matches. They came up in 6th place in the points list. Mumbai Indians remained at the top with 14 points in 11 matches.
