The second Test between India and England at Chennai is on the side of the hosts at the moment. After electing to bat first on day one, India were 300/6 at stumps on day one. Rishabh Pant and Axar Patel started day two for India and the morning session was not good enough with the bat for the hosts.

India were bowled out for 329 for their first innings. In reply, the visitors had a terrible first innings. Indian spinners were outstanding in the innings and bowled out England for only 134. In the morning session itself, England lost four wickets before lunch.

The ‘Whistle Podu’ celebration is the trademark style of Chennai based franchise Chennai Super Kings led by MS Dhoni. The crowd also responded to the Indian skipper and poured the whistles on players.
