The ball delivered by Kuldeep Yadav hit MS Dhoni’s face, however, he managed to stump the England batsman Joe Root. Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have been a revelation in international cricket in the recent times. Even the best of the batsmen have not been able to pick them up and have struggled against their variations.
Earlier in the match, England openers Jason Roy and Jos Buttler provided a good start to their team. But, their middle-order batsmen struggled to face the Indian bowling in the second half of the first innings.
Jos Buttler was dropped by Yuzvendra Chahal at fine leg but on the very next ball, Umesh Yadav cleaned up Jason Roy to make the first inroad.
Alex Hales then came out to bat but did not look in good touch as he struggled for timing. Captain Eoin Morgan also could not leave a mark. Both Morgan and Hales ended up eating a lot of balls. This left England at 106 for three in the 14th over.
However, there was more to come. On the very first delivery that Jonny Bairstow faced, he got a wrong one from Kuldeep Yadav. Bairstow did not read the ball from the hand and tried to go for a booming drive.
However, he missed it all together and his back foot was out of the crease. Dhoni then did what he does best and Bairstow was on his way.
On the very next delivery, Joe Root received another beauty from Kuldeep Yadav to which Root danced outside the crease. The ball hit MS Dhoni’s gloves and bounced towards his helmet. However, the veteran keeper collected the ball in time and got the bails off before Root could ground is back. England posted a decent total of 158 on the board in the allotted 20 overs.

While chasing the target of 159, Dhawan started the chase with a four and went back to pavilion in the same over. The Kings XI Punjab opener KL Rahul, who has been in prolific form, destroyed the England bowling line-up. He registered his second century in T20 Internationals. With his brilliant century, India chased down the total with 10 balls to spare.
