VIDEO: Mushfiqur Rahim concedes overthrow while discussing pointless review

Mushfiqur explains causes of sending Mominul at seven down

The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) has entered the final stage of the tournament as Dhaka Dynamites destroyed Chittagong Vikings in the eliminator on February 4. Batting first, Chittagong Vikings lost Yasir Ali and their skipper, Mushfiqur Rahim cheaply. But, the efforts from Cameron Delport (34 off 27), Shadman Islam (24 off 19) and Musaddek Hossain (40 off 35) helped Vikings to post a decent total of 135 on the board.

While chasing an easy total, Upul Tharanga and Sunil Narine provided the blistering starts to their team. While Narine dismissed for 31 off 16 deliveries, Tharanga completed his fifty. Kieron Pollard and Nurul Hasan comfortably finished the game to qualify for the next stage.

During the 16th over of the second innings, the incident occurred when Pollard at the crease and Abu Jayed with the ball. The West Indies player swung very hard and missed it completely but the ball ended up hitting on his thigh pads before going towards the third man.

While the batsmen ran for a single, Rahim and Jayed started discussing whether to go for the review or not and they failed to grab the ball. The batting duo successfully completed another run with Rahim and Jayed staring at each other.

With a smile on the face, the skipper went for the review. But, the replays showed the ball was completely missing the stumps and the bowling team lost the review.
