Video: Quinton de Kock does a MS Dhoni to run-out Phehlukwayo in MSL 2019
During the 9th game of the ongoing second season of the Mzansi Super League between Durban Heat and Cape Town Blitz in Durban, Cape Town Blitz captain Quinton de Kock had exactly imitated Indian wicket-keeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni to effectively run-out Durban Heat all-rounder Andile Phehlukwayo.

It is well known that MS Dhoni showcases street-smart wicketkeeping skills and Quinton de Kock who imitated MS Dhoni made sure not to disappoint everyone. The incident fell in place on the very last ball of the 18th over when Phehlukwayo smashed Sisanda Migala delivery towards Marques Ackerman at the long-off region.
While Ackerman couldn’t hold on to a tough catching opportunity, he was quick enough to get back on his feet and throw the ball quickly back to Quinton de Kock. When the team required 28 runs to win off 13 balls, Heat batsmen thought of taking a couple of runs. Phehlukwayo, who was running back to the striker’s end, was undone by de Kock’s street-smart keeping skills.
