Boult troubled Indian batsmen

New Zealand pacer, Trent Bould bowled a sensational delivery to dismiss the former Indian skipper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni who has returned back to the playing eleven after missing the last two ODI games due to a hamstring injury.

Trent Boult bowled an inswinger but the wicket-keeper batsman struggled with the feet movement and he was too late to defend as the ball disturbed the furniture. The speedster delivered at a pace of 143 kmph as Dhoni was sent back to the pavilion for just 1 run.

Coming to the match, the Indian team won the toss and opted to bat first in the final ODI of the series. Both the openers, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan has failed again as they scored just 2 and 6 runs. Shubman Gill could only score 7 off 11 deliveries with one boundary.

After Dhoni was removed by the New Zealand pacer, the all-rounder, Vijay Shankar joined Rayudu to build a partnership. They both added 98 runs for the fifth wicket. While Rayudu missed his century by just 10 runs, Shankar scored 45 of 64 deliveries.

It was Hardik Pandya who changed the moment with his hard-hitting skills. When his team was struggling at 205 for 7, he smashed three consecutive sixes in the over of Todd Astle. He then smashed a couple of sixes before being dismissed for 45 off 22. At the end of 1st innings, India posted a decent total of 252 on the board.
