Vintage Yuvraj Singh is back with a bang, slams 80 off 57 in T20 Cup match

Sixer King Yuvraj Singh is making a statement now after a while! He might have been in the end of the finishing stages of his career but his 80-run knock off just 57 balls in the DY Patil T20 Cup just goes to show that he still has got enough steel in him to don the Indian colours once again.

Yuvraj Singh plays a shot

The 37-year-old flamboyant cricketer has been in and out of the Indian cricket team. He has been out of form for a while as he lost his killer touch. Also he has not played well for Punjab in this year’s Ranji Trophy. But Yuvraj Singh knows the better way of making a classic comeback to the team as he had done that time and again.

Yuvraj will be looking forward to focussing on playing some top-notch cricket considering the latest signs that he has shown to us. It would be quite interesting to see how he goes about his cricketing business and of course, he will be a player to watch out for in the upcoming Indian Premier League.

Yuvraj was roped in by the Mumbai Indians at his base price of Rs 1 crore. He is all geared up to feature for his sixth team in the IPL this season. He plied his trade for Kings XI Punjab last year but unfortunately couldn’t shine due to his poor run of form, amassing just 65 runs in eight games, and was released.

The dashing left-handed batsman will next spice it up for Punjab in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy starting from February 21 onwards. After that, the cash-rich IPL tourney starts in March itself because of the World Cup which kicks off in May.

The 80 runs which he amassed in DY Patil tournament is a fifty for Yuvraj in competitive cricket after a while now. He scored a sensational 96 for Punjab against Railways in Vijay Hazare Trophy in early October last year.
