Virat Kohli among world’s highest-paid athletes: Forbes

The Indian skipper Virat Kohli is the only Indian athlete to be featuring in Forbes top 100 lists of world’s highest-paid athletes. Kohli is currently standing at 83rd position in this list. He is earning through salary and winnings was $4m while brand endorsements earned him $20m.

Virat Kohli was at 89th position last year when Christiano Ronaldo was leading the list. In 2017, he earned $3m through salary and winnings and $19m through endorsements.

The Boxer Floyd Mayweather and football legend Lionel Messi are at the top in this list. According to the reports, the top-100 athletes are from 22 different countries and 11 different sports.

Another football legend, Cristiano Ronaldo, Mixed martial arts superstar Conor McGregor and Brazilian football player Neymar are at the next three spots to complete the top-5 list.

The former sprinter Usain Bolt has gone down and standing at 45th position. The legendary Tennis players Roger Federar and Rafael Nadal are standing at 7th and 20th positions respectively.

The top-20 list goes: Floyd Mayweather, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Conor McGregor, Neymar, LeBron James, Roger Federer, Stephen Curry, Matt Ryan, Matthew Stafford, Kevin Durant, Lewis Hamilton, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Canelo Alvarez, Tiger Woods, Drew Brees, Sebastian Vettel, Derek Carr and Rafael Nadal.
