Virat Kohli likely to be rested for 3rd T20I in Indore

Virat Kohli flew to Mumbai on Monday instead of traveling to Indore as he is likely to be rested for the 3rd T20I on Tuesday. Kohli hit a match-winning 49 on Sunday.

Premier India batsman Virat Kohli was rested by the third T20I against South Africa on Tuesday. The final game of the series will be played at Kohli's home ground, Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi.

Former captain Virat Kohli is likely to be rested for the third and final T20I of the current series against South Africa. India meets the Proteas in the final at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore on Tuesday 4 October.
Team India sealed their first-ever T20I series with a 16-run victory in game two at home against South Africa on Sunday (2 October). With the third T20I set to be a dead rubber, the hosts rested their key player and former India skipper Virat Kohli. The Men in Blue will take on the Proteas in the final T20I in Indore on October 4th and according to reports Kohli did not travel with the team.
The third and final T20I between the Indian national cricket team led by Rohit Sharma and the South Africa national cricket team led by Temba Bavuma is scheduled to be played on Tuesday 4 October at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore.
India won dominantly by 8 wickets against Temba Bavuma South Africa on Wednesday 28 September in the T20I series opener at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
Also, India won their second T20I by 16 runs against South Africa on Sunday 2 October at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. With victory in Sunday night's game, India clinched a series win over South Africa at home attempts for the first time in four years.
Virat Kohli has already left for Mumbai
In addition, the reports say that Virat Kohli left for Mumbai as early as Monday morning (October 3). He has chosen to be with his family just before he leaves for Australia for the T20 World Championships.
