‘Virat Kohli will be Naseem Shah’s bunny’
There is a word in cricket called ‘Bunny’. Bunny means the favorite victim of any bowler. Australian pacer Glenn McGrath’s ‘bunny’ was England batsman Mike Atherton, who has taken Atherton’s wicket 19 times in 17 Tests.
Pakistan’s Mudassar Nazar was Indian pacer Kapil Dev’s bunny. Mudassar has been dismissed 12 times in 18 Tests by Kapil. This time, former Pakistan cricketer Faisal Iqbal is predicting that India captain Virat Kohli will be the bunny of Pakistan’s emerging fast bowler Naseem Shah.
Born in 2003, Naseem Shah’s cricket career has just begun, he has played 4 Tests. The 17-year old fast bowler has yet to face India in any international match. In this situation, Iqbal’s claim is a bit strange!
The nephew of Javed Miandad, critics in Pakistan cricket have sometimes said that Faisal Iqbal played for Pakistan because of his Miandad. Iqbal tweeted, “With due respect to Virat as a great batsman I am sure our upcoming superstar fast bowler Naseem Shah with genuine pace Fire and swing Virat will be his bunny anytime! Looking forward to the future Cricket bat and ballbattle! Winking face #RespectForBoth.”

A few days ago, Shah told the media that he has respect for Virat Kohli, but he is not afraid. “I am looking forward to playing against India whenever that opportunity arises. I hope that I can bowl well against India when that chance comes by and won’t let our fans down. As for Virat Kohli, I respect him but don’t fear him.”
Earlier this year, Shah made history picking-up a hat-trick in international cricket at the youngest age. He achieved this feat in the Rawalpindi Test against Bangladesh in February. The right-arm fast bowler has taken 13 wickets in four Tests.
