Wahab’s shocking comments come after Waqar Younis launched a scathing attack on him and fellow left-arm bowler, Mohammad Amir, for retiring from Test cricket all of a sudden.

During a live session on micro-blogging Instagram, Waqar Younis told Wahab Riaz that there is still a vacancy for him in the national cricket team.

“My firm belief is that you have got cricket left in you, you just keep working hard and Pakistan [will] always need you. There is no match for experience when it comes to any form of the game. I think you still have the desire that you want to play for Pakistan. If you keep that hunger, it will bring you back,” Waqar was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

While Wahab Riaz agreed with Waqar Younis, he had requested the legendary Pakistan seamer to “go easy on me”.

For the unversed, Pakistan Test captain Azhar Ali named Waqar Younis as the legendary Pakistani cricketer.
