The game was stretched to the final day of the Test. Aussies tried all their tactics to outsmart India but in the end, it was to no avail. India survived the lethal bowling attack and pulled off a sensational draw.

Now the focus is shifted towards the fourth and final Test match in Brisbane at The Gabba. No team has won a game here for a long time and Aussies have a dominant record at this ground. It is going to be a great challenge for the Indians as it is a series-deciding fixture.

Washington Sundar may make his Test debut

Team India is in troubled waters after so many injuries in their squad. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Hanuma Vihari will sit out of the Brisbane Test. Meanwhile, if reports doing the rounds are to be believed, then Washington Sundar is likely to make his Test debut for India at The Gabba.

It is to be noted that Sundar was not part of the Border Gavaskar series but was asked to stay back in Australia following the three-match T20I series. According to a report in TOI, Sundar is going to replace injured Jadeja for the final Test. Jadeja has been ruled out with a fractured thumb.

Washington Sundar is a pretty decent replacement of Jadeja. He has scored 532 runs in first-class cricket in 12 games with a batting average of 31.29. Moreover, he has taken 30 wickets at an average of 26.93. In fact, he is a regular player of the RCB in the IPL.

He may not have taken wickets in the first two T20Is against Australia but he tried his best to not leak runs. He was one of the best economical bowlers for the visitors. Sundar showcased his potential in the third and final T20I where he took 2 wickets to his name.
