Wasim Akram wants Pakistan to improve in fitness and fielding areas besides batting and bowling skills. “Apart from batting and bowling skills, what we have seen in this tournament (World Cup) was the sides that possessed strong fielding [units qualified for] the semi-finals, including India although they lost in the semis,” Wasim Akram was quoted as saying by the Business Recorder.

“And how would one improve their fielding? One would first need to be physically fit especially in the 50 overs format. Pakistan [will need to] learn to be physically fit and maintain a high fielding standard like all other sides. If India and Bangladesh could improve their fielding, [then] we can as well,” Akram added.
