Watch: AB’s stunning switch hit on return

It’s always a pleasure for the eyes to see South Africa superstar AB de Villiers bat, and even though he has retired from international cricket in May this year, he still has got the magic in his bat to mesmerize the audience.

AB stunning switch hit

Once again de Villiers caught everyone’s attention towards him with his latest performance in South Africa’s domestic tournament Mzansi Super League.

To justify his nickname as Mr 360, he showed a brilliant switch hit on his way to score a fine half-century (59 off 39 balls) in the opening match between Cape Town Blitz and Tshwane Spartans, and immediately put the tournament on board.

The magic happened during the 11th over of the match when AB played the switch hit to perfection as the ball flew over the boundary for a maximum.

“Always love playing in front of this crowd. I thought there was a decent crowd. They (Cape Town Blitz) adapted better to these conditions and came out on top. We didn’t have enough partnerships, you need two or three good partnerships, but we lost wickets at regular intervals,” said de Villiers post the match in which his team won by massive 49 runs.

AB’s stunning switch hit was highly appreciated by the Twitter users as well, as the twitteratti made no delay to express their awe.

In the Indian Premier League, AB has been a regular feature for Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), and once again he has been retained in the franchise for the IPL 2019 season.
