Arjun Tendulkar couldn’t be happier after taking his first wicket in competitive cricket in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournament. The 21-year-old all-rounder announced his arrival by taking a wicket early on in the game against Haryana. Arjun got rid of Chaitanya Bishnoi to take his first wicket for Mumbai.

Netizens heaped praise on the youngster for taking his first wicket for his team. Even Arjun’s father legendary Sachin Tendulkar would be extremely happy and proud of son’s progress. Few years ago, Arjun had earlier travelled with Indian team to England as a net bowler and picked up lessons on the go.

Although Arjun took a wicket, he didn’t have a good day at the office as he became the expensive bowler for the team. He finished with bowling figures of 3-0-34-1 on his debut for Mumbai. Unfortunately, he ended up on the losing side as Haryana won the game by 10 runs.

Meanwhile, there are chances that Arjun may take part in the Indian Premier League. Sachin Tendulkar’s son is now eligible to be a part of auction pool for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. Yes, you read it right. When a player makes a debut for Mumbai, he has every possibility of going under the hammer for the lucrative IPL.

Considering the fact that India have in the first place, it seems Arjun will have to work beyond the bounds of possibility to make his IPL debut. If he does make an entry in the cash-rich league, he will most probably go to Mumbai Indians.
