However, something different happened during the TNPL match between Dindigul Dragons and Chepauk Super Gillies. Ravi Ashwin took everyone by a surprise by taking his bowling to a whole new level. Well, nobody saw this coming from a carrom-ball spinner.

It was a kind of half-roll where his left arm positioned in its place and there was no follow-through at all of his hand as Ravi Ashwin released the ball like a hot knife through butter. Ashwin came up with the bizarre idea in the final over of the match as the ball seemed to confuse the batsman but did not cause any damage as it went down the leg side area.

The surprising delivery soon became viral on social media. Here’s the video below:

Previously, Ravichandran Ashwin stole the show with the bat as he scored a breathtaking 37 off 19 balls. Ravi Ashwin was all aiming for the boundaries and he managed to score a flurry of 5 fours and a maximum to his lofty standards of punching and counter-punching techniques after coming to bat at number three.

In fact, Ravi Ashwin’s six was the only maximum scored in the match between Dindigul Dragons and Chepauk Super Gillies. Coming to bat only in the second over, the Dindigul skipper took just two deliveries to read the condition and then went all guns blazing.

While he was en route to scoring something big, he could manage to help the team to get to 66 runs before getting out off Murugan Ashwin in the 9th over.

Ravi Ashwin is being overlooked by the Indian selectors and has been out of the Indian team for quite a long time. However, by chipping in with performances, there are possibilities that he may get noticed by the selectors for future assignments.
