Cricket is an unpredictable game and one never knows what exactly happens the next ball as it has interesting things in store for the future. The game of cricket has witnessed many weird incidents and the latest one that grabbed everyone’s attention was Trent Boult’s hilarious response after the ball got stuck in his helmet.

When Boult was batting during Day 2 of Sri Lanka against New Zealand Test. Trent Boult attempted to play a scoop shot off a spinner misconnected the ball as it resulted in the edge. The ball straightaway flew into his helmet and got stuck in there for a while.

The unusual incident happened in the 82nd over of the game when the left-hander was playing in the middle. He tried taking on Lasith Embuldeniya for a boundary but completely misjudged the length as the ball got trapped in the grille of his helmet and what happened next was really funny.

The fielders surrounding him and the batsman Trent Boult tried to make a complete mockery of it, as the batsman tried to find a way to get rid of the surrounding players and the wicket-keeper as they were trying to grab the ball. Meanwhile, the Commentators had their time to throw some funny words on the incident as well.

Trent Boult was able to score 18 off 22 balls before he was dismissed by Suranga Lakmal. He managed to assist New Zealand post a decent total in the first innings.

On top of that, Ross Taylor was the top-scorer for New Zealand with a stupendous knock of 86 runs off 132 balls. He stitched a 100-run partnership for the fourth wicket with Henry Nicholls (42).
