Watch: Bumrah bowls a gem of a ball to dismiss Allen in practice game

India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah lacked flair and flamboyance in the just-concluded three-match ODI series against New Zealand. He did his best to reach the highest level but he failed to do so. However, it was indeed frustrating for a bowler of his calibre.

Nonetheless, he was at his devastating best against New Zealand in the warm-up game ahead of the two-match Test series which is scheduled to be played from February 21 (Friday). The world-class bowler had to remind everyone that he is a high-quality fast bowler on the second day of the team’s practice match against New Zealand XI.

In response to India’s 263 in the first innings, New Zealand XI were skittled out for 235 in 74.2 overs, thanks to Jasprit Bumrah who bowled well and chipped in with 2/18 in 11 overs while Mohammed Shami registered 3/17 in 10 overs.

Case in point, the best ball from Jasprit Bumrah came against Finn Allen and the top pacer made a mess of his stumps with a gem of an inswinging delivery.

Bumrah delivered a length ball and the Kiwi batsmen got the opportunity to play the shot but instead, he missed it completely in the hope that it will miss the stumps but that wasn’t meant to be.
