In reply, it was the show visitors expected. England bowlers bundled out Pakistan for 273, despite the heroic fight back from the skipper Azhar Ali. Eventually, the hosts have put the visitors to bat again, by enforcing follow-on and Pakistan fighting with 100/2 at the moment.

Even though England had a dominating day 3 at Southampton, there were some simple dropped chances from England fielders, mainly in the slip cordon. Those missed chances had turned out to be the reason for the frustration of James Anderson, who is one wicket short of 600 Test wickets milestone at the moment.

Meanwhile, England wicket keeper Jos Buttler took a stunning catch to dismiss the Pakistan player Shaheen Afridi, during the later part of day 3. The dismissal happened during the 1st ball of the 86th over.

England right-arm fast bowler Stuart Broad bowled a short pitch delivery towards the leg-side of the left-handed batsman. Shaheen Afridi tried to push the ball towards fine-leg. But the ball got edged and Jos Buttler put a dive to his right to grab the ball nicely. In the end, Buttler’s stunning effort awarded the ninth wicket for England.
