Watch: Cottrell takes a breathtaking catch to dismiss Smith

Windies player Sheldon Cottrell took a good one-handed running catch to dismiss Australian right handed batsman Steve Smith.

Windies started their World Cup campaign with a flying start over Pakistan with the domination of their seam bowlers. Windies bowlers continued the same domination in their second game against Australia.

Australia batted first in the second game of both teams. Windies bowlers took a flying start, rattling the Australian top order quickly. But Australian star batsman Steve Smith put up a fight along with the lower order batsmen and brought the team back into the game.

But the batsman had an unexpected end to his innings as Sheldon Cottrell took a stunning one-handed catch to dismiss him.

It was a loose delivery from Oshane Thomas as Smith flicked it in style when Cottrell ran from nowhere to grab a one-handed stunner. Cottrell’s signature move of saluting the soldiers was soon on the display as he gets a great round of applause, while the fans booed Smith off the field.
