Watch- Fan gets smashed on his face, look what happened next
When it is T20 cricket, batsmen try to open the face of the blade with an intent to score more runs for the team. Even umpires get more chances to exercise by lifting their hands up time and again when the ball goes into the crowd. It is also evident that the camera angle switches to the audience section which presents a perfect opportunity to take the catch.

There are even instances of spectactors stealing the spotlight after taking the catch. On the dark side, things can be strange too. One such strange incident happened during the recent match between Brisbane Heat and Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League wherein a spectator in the gallery got smashed on the face by a towering six hit by Brisbane Heat wicketkeeper-batsman Jimmy Pierson.
The incident happened in the 17th over of the innings when James Faulkner delivered a length ball which gave Pierson to dispatch the ball into the stands over mid-wicket. The ball easily crossed over the boundary ropes but little did the spectator know he would get hit on his face. He thought that he would catch the ball but his attempt led to the injury.
