Dinesh Karthik is been around the Indian team for the last fifteen years. But he faced more disappointments than success in his International career. He was yet to make his name big in the history and that moment during the final of Nidhas Trophy held in Sri Lanka in 2018.

India and Bangladesh were playing the final of the tournament which happened as the T20 format. India were chasing 169 runs in that match and Bangladesh took the control of the game by taking wickets regularly. At last 32 runs were needed from the last over.

Here comes our man Dinesh Karthik. He scored 22 runs in the 19th over and that brought everyone to the edge of the seat. In the last over his partner, Vijay Shankar struggled and made things more complex resulted in 5 runs needed from the last ball.

Soumya Sarkar was the bowler and Dinesh Karthik was on strike. Sarkar tried to bowl a wide yorker and Dinesh converted it into a flat six towards the cover region and took his team over the line. With that Dinesh Karthik became the superhero in overnight and without any doubts, this is one of the best finishes in the history of the game.
