Watch: In-form Babar Azam hits perfect cover drive in Adelaide Test


Babar Azam was the only batsman for Pakistan, who looked in good touch and remained unbeaten on 43* at the end of day two.

While wickets were falling one after another, Pakistan’s dependable batsman Babar Azam looked solid at the other hand. He scored hundred in the last game where Pakistan suffered an innings defeat and as things stand, they are likely to face a similar kind of defeat.

But that didn’t stop Babar from playing a top-class knock and he remained unbeaten at the end of day two after Aussie bowlers created havoc against the other batsmen.

Babar played some delightful shots for his unbeaten 43 on day two, but the one that caught the eye of everyone was the picture-perfect cover drive off Josh Hazlewood which raced down to the boundary for a four.

During the 21st over, Babar went on his front foot to elegantly hit the ball through the cover region. He came to bat at number four this time and looked classy as always.

However, the visitors ended the day with a sorry looking scorecard. After Australia declared their innings with 589 runs on the board, Pakistan felt apart with 96/6 before stumps.
