Australian player James Patterson lost his wicket in a bizarre manner in the ongoing JLT Sheffield Shield.

The game that is played with bat and ball has many fond incidents with it. Some of them may be tragedic and some of them may be funny.  Those funny incidents are an absolute treat to watch for the cricket fans.

Such a funny incident happened in the in the ongoing JLT Sheffield Shield as the Australian fast bowler James Pattinson lost his wicket in a bizarre manner.

Pattinson came out to bat at No.8 after his side was reduced to 64 for 6 after Victoria won the toss and elected to bat. He completed eight runs and was batting against NSW spearhead Trent Copeland in the 47th over when his unusual dismissal happened.

In the third ball of the over, Pattinson tried to defend the ball but the ball was on its way behind his bat. Pattinson managed to put a defense to the ball before the stumps but unfortunately the ball hit the back side of his bat and kissed the stumps. That made Pattinson’s stay at the crease to an end on 8 runs.
