Watch: Kohli asks Indian fans to cheer for Smith instead of booing

India and Australia are sweating out their best in the Oval in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. India batted first and set a huge target of 353 for Australia to win the match. Indian skipper Virat Kohli was also among the runs with an awesome half century.

Apart from his field play, Virat Kohli did an awesome gesture in the ground for his opponent player Steve Smith. Steve Smith was fielding near the boundary line and Indian fans were booing at him regarding the past incidents of the Australian player.

Soon after knowing that, Virat Kohli went towards the fans and asked them not to boo at him and encouraged them to cheer for the Australian player. Later Steve Smith had a good thankful gesture for Virat Kohli with a smiling hand shake.

Led by Virat Kohli India beat Australia by 36 runs in the match. Batting first India scored 352 for 5 in 50 overs.  Shekhor Dhawan smashes a magnificent century of 117 and Virat Kohli scored 82 and Rohit Sharma scored 57.

Chasing big total of 353 Australia all out after scoring 316 in their allocated 50 overs. David Warner made steady 56 from 84 balls and Steve Smith made 69  and alex Carey scored 55.
