Debutant Shadman Islam has been sailing briskly in the first innings of the second and last Test match of the series against Windies as the home team is on the way to pattern a good total.

Bangladesh lost two more wickets in the mid-session of the day. Devendra Bishoo, for the third consecutive time in the series, had Mohammad Mithun in his pouch. The full leg break rattled the stumps of Mithun restricting him from continuing the good start. Mithun’s 29 came off 61 deliveries.

The home team was jolted when young Shadman Islam missed out the great opportunity of scoring a ton on debut. Davendra Bishoo’s sharp bowling spun into Shadman’s defence, pinned his pad and the field umpires adjudged the leg before wicket sparing no time because of the ball quite clearly travelling to hit the stumps.

He was at 76. Striking 6 boundaries, Shadman faced 199 balls.

Bangladesh started the post lunch session with 87 runs on the board losing 2 wickets.

have two changes in their XI, as wicketkeeper-batsman Liton Das comes in as cover for the regular wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim, who hurt his thumb a couple of days back. Liton is playing in place of injured Imrul Kayes.

Meanwhile, Shadman Islam is making his debut in this match. This will be his first international match for Bangladesh. Pacer Mustafizur Rahman makes room for Shadman, which means Bangladesh are fielding an XI that has no pacer in it.

Bangladesh are carrying a 1-0 lead in the two match series having won the first Test by 64 runs in Chittagong.
