New Zealand player Mitchell Santner took a stunning diving catch to dismiss the England batsman Ollie Pope in the first Test between New Zealand and England.

New Zealand stunned England with a dominating win by an innings and 65 runs in the first match of the two-match Test series between both nations. It was an all-around dominating performance by the hosts to take some leap in their ICC Test Championship.

The match has turned out to be a special one for the New Zealand bowling all-rounder Mitchell Santner to do something big for the team after coming back from the injury issues he had in the recent times.

In the New Zealand innings, the left-handed batsman scored his maiden Test century and that helped the hosts to take a big first innings lead and that resulted in an innings win for them. In the England’s second innings Mitchell Santner took a stunning catch to dismiss the English batsman Ollie Pope.

Neil Wagner bowled a wide yorker at the English batsman and the batsman put bat onto it. The ball went in the air and Mitchell Santner dived to his right at full-stretch to complete the dismissal. The dismissal helped Neil Wagner pick up a five-wicket haul in the second innings.
