WATCH: Pant tries Dhoni’s trademark helicopter shot

Indian Wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has been one of the brightest prospects in Indian cricket. The batsman made his debut in the early phase of 2017. He was seen to play only from India’s away Tests against England in 2018. He has proved himself at the same Series.

He is yet to make a significant impact as his ODI and T-20I career is an injustice prior to his name. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Pant doesn’t have any cricket to play as it made sure that Indian cricket halted back in March after the abandoned match against South Africa in Dharamsala.

However, Pant has started practising as the Indian cricketers are starting to return to practice. He posted a video the 22-year-old left-hander is seen doing the rounds where he can be seen practising with all his heart and soul. He was seen, emulating MS Dhoni’s trademark helicopter shot. The southpaw deposited an off-spinner down the ground for a boundary.

Former skipper Dhoni hasn’t played any cricket since the 2019 edition of the World Cup in England. After the semi-final against New Zealand he never got call to play for India. Although, he scored a half-century in a critical situation but his team couldn’t win the match.

Dhoni is all set to take part in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The cash rich league is starting September 19 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Dhoni will fight for for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
