Peshawar eliminate Quetta by a single run victory

The match was visibly decided earlier when Quetta Gladiators needed 25 runs off the last over but drama at the Gaddafi Stadium was yet to unfold.

Anwar Ali appeared hitting three massive sixes in the last over; when three runs were needed from the last ball – Quetta found themselves short of one of them.

In the first half of the innings, Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal decked for a 44 run third wicket partnership with Mohammad Hafeez losing two wickets early in the innings.

He himself scored a 29 ball 27 runs with 5 shots of fours. Peshawar Zalmi’s broken innings was mend by Liam Dawson in the middle who made 62 runs striking 4 shots of sixes accompanies by 6 fours.

The winning team, Peshawar Zalmi will have to face another knockout match against Karachi Kings on Wednesday to reach into the final of the Pakistan Super League 2018.
