Watch: Pujara replies with a Six after Pandey sledges him

‘Sledging Scenes’ make the game a tad more interesting, even if you are Cheteshwar Pujara. There were several instances were cricketers replied to sledging with a six and this time it was Pujara’s turn. The former usually approaches the game patiently and hence the fans were even convinced that he wouldn’t take extra risk to go for a towering shot.

When the spinner Shreyas Gopal was handed over the ball, Pujara, as usual was batting patiently. He didn't try to play shots but a sub-standed delivery by the bowler to start his over presented a perfect opportunity for Saurashtra batsman to go for the kill on backfoot.
Pujara’s epic reply with a six after being sledged by Manish Pandey is the best thing you’ll ever see

Nonetheless, he replied with a six after being sledged by Manish Pandey. How about that for an epic reply? Pujara hitting a six is something new to all of us as he likes to play down the ground in a bid to carry the team to a comfort zone no matter how bad the situation is.

The incident:

Pujara was provoked by the Karnataka skipper Manish Pandey in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy semi-final game at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. It is indeed very rare that Pujara was targetted with war of wards. Surprisingly, those words came from Manish Pandey just before Shreyas Gopal came to bowl. He said “One lazy shot and he (Pujara) will get out.”
