Watch: Rashid Khan steals the show with tennis forehand shot
Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan turned 21 on September 20 (Friday) and he stole the spotlight during the 5th game of the ongoing Bangladesh Tri-Nation series between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe in Chattogram.
Rashid Khan who is known for the knack of playing some good shots impressed the fans by hitting a sensational tennis forehand shot to finish the innings on a stellar for his team.
The stupendous shot was witnessed on the first delivery of the last over when Rashid came down the track to face Zimbabwe pacer Chris Mpofu. The bowler bowled a short-pitched delivery and Rashid smartly played an innovative shot, in what appeared straight out a tennis kind of shot. He hit it towards the mid-wicket area for a six.
Coming in at No. 8 in the penultimate over, Rashid Khan’s aim was to pull off a short cameo as he ended up scoring 9* (6) with the help of a six.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat first on a good surface, Afghanistan scored 155/8 in 20 overs. The wicket-keeper batsman Rahmanullah Gurbaz was the highest run-scorer for Afghanistan as he scored 61 (47) with the flurry of 4 fours and as many as sixes. On the contrary, Zimbabwe’s Mpofu was the pick of the bowlers with 4-0-30-4.
Zimbabwe skipper Hamilton Masakadza, who featured in his last T20I last night, scored his 11th T20I fifty to seal the victory for his team. After opening the batting with wicket-keeper batsman Brendan Taylor (19), Masakadza scored 71 (42) with the help of 4 fours and 5 sixes.
