Under tight security in India, Shoaib had faced various restrictions to present in the stadium. However, it is simple for the security reasons of the players. But Rohit came as a savior for Shoaib and solved the problem.

Shoaib said that he could be present at any end of the field using this card. He can see the cricketers from close, support the Tigers. And the whole thing is possible under Rohit’s direction and another famous Indian supporter Sudhir Gautam helped him to complete the process of the card.

“I didn’t meet with Rohit in between the T20 series. But in the practice session for the Test series, I was in the gallery during practice, Rohit pointed at me. Seeing Rohit’s warning, the securities moved away, I entered the field.

“He asked me why I didn’t meet with him. I told him about the tight security here in India. I also told him that I tried but failed due to that tight security. Then he asked about my situation and where I am staying here. After that, a person sent me to the upstairs. Sudhir took me to the place. There cards were made. They took my picture and passport’s photocopy and told me to come at 4 PM. And when I went at 4 PM, I found my card done,”

Shoaib said to BDCricTime.

Shoaib expressed his joy after getting the card. “I am much glad because I want to stay with Bangladesh team always. I want to shout and fly the flag by staying beside the team. In the T20 series, I couldn’t able to do that. Because I had to buy the tickets of the distant galleries. And it made me feel bad. Thought – it would have been nice to have a ticket to stay with the team. But all the sorrows had been removed. Now I can enter the gate with the card I want, I can get out, as often as I want. I can stay close to the team – this is the biggest achievement for me, it’s a pleasure,” he said.

“After having the card, I didn’t talk with Rohit. I pointed him when he was in the bus and said I would meet him in the hotel. He’s an exceptional person. Such a big personality, cricketer. But such a beautiful mindset. It’s nice.”
