RP Singh caught in a controversy in T10 League

This year’s T10 league is currently on the floors in the United Arab Emirates. Teams are competing in two groups in the group stage games. The league features many International stars including the retired players too. This has turned out to be a big fun for fans to see some retired stars in the league.

Not like in the other leagues, many Indian players are also playing in the league as the players are not allowed to play in all the league tournaments by BCCI. Former Indian left-arm fast bowler RP Singh is playing for Pakthoons in the new version of the game.

He has only played a couple of matches against Rajputs and Bengal Tigers with his best figures of 2/14 coming against the Tigers. He got the wickets of Jason Roy and Luke Wright and helped his team restrict the Tigers to 93/6 in 10 overs.

In his best match of the tournament so far, the fast bowler was caught in a controversy. RP Singh bowled the first over in the innings of Tigers and the incident happened in the fifth ball of the opening over.

RP Singh bowled a full-length delivery at Sunil Narine and Narine missed it after trying for a drive. As the keeper failed to collect the ball cleanly, Narine took a cheeky single and the keeper threw the ball at the non-striker’s end.

The throw went and hit the stumps and Narine seemed to have made his ground. Nevertheless, replays showed that the batsman’s feet were off the ground when the ball struck the wickets.

To everyone’s surprise, the umpires asked for the play to continue. The same didn’t please Singh by any stretch of the imagination and the speedster denied to bowl the last ball of his first over. After a long chat with the umpires, RP Singh agreed to bowl the last ball and completed the over.
