A marvelous bowling display by Shaheen Shah Afridi encircled Lahore Qalandars to break their eight match losing streak in the Pakistan Super League 2018 defeating Multan Sultans by 6 wickets.
A five for just four runs broke the backbone of Multan Sultan’s innings getting them a low score of 114 runs with 2 deliveries to spare.
Midway through the 15th over, Multan Sultan were 6 down at the team total of 99 runs and the rest of them were simply tumbled down In the 16th over, the young Afridi came of age, removing Shoaib Malik, Ross Whiteley and Saif Badar in a span of four balls but missed out the hat-trick.
The teen speed star persistently hit 140kmph and with mostly unplayable deliveries, picked up two more wickets that of Junaid Khan and Mohammad Irfan, finished with uncanny figures of 5 wickets for 4 runs.
The batting part was not much easy for Lahore Qalandars as they took almost 19 overs to finish chasing.
