Watch: Shoaib Malik cracks two ‘glass breaking sixes’ in GT20 Canada

Former Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik reminded of his power hitting days with two enormous sixes that shattered two glass windows during the qualifier match between Vancouver Knights and Brampton Wolves in Global T20 Canada.

Batting first, Malik smashed a quick fire 46 not out by 26 deliveries helping Vancouver Knights post a match winning score of 170/4 after 16 overs against Brampton Wolves.

West Indies’ big hitter Andre Russell well accompanied Malik with a 21-ball 43.

In reply, Brampton Wolve were bundlred out for 103 in 13.4 overs with Saad Bin Zafar and Daniel Sams sharing seven wickets among themselves.

However, the highlight of the match was Malik shattering glass windows twice during his innings.

The first one came off in the 13th over of Pakistan innings. Ish Sodhi was into the attack and on the second delivery of the over, Malik slammed over cover region for a 68-metre six. The ball flew straight above the ground cracking the glass window.

Last but not the least, Malik did not stop that far. He hit another delivery from Wahab Riaz high above the backward point for a 67-meter six. The ball, therefore, landed into breaking another glass window in the row of CAA center.

37-year old Malik officially announced his retirement from the ODI format of the game after Pakistan’s exit from the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
