Watch: Stumps hit Archer for six
England and Bangladesh are sweating out in Cardiff for the third game of both teams in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. England batted first and posted a huge total of 386 for the loss of six wickets in the allocated 50 overs.
English opener Jason Roy was on top gear in the match with another century, scoring 153 runs from 121 balls. Bangladesh started the huge chase of 387 in a disappointing manner as they lost their opening batsman Soumya Sarkar for only 2 runs in the 4th over of the innings when the team score was only 8.
Soumya Sarkar’s dismissal ended in a funny note as the ball flew over the boundary ropes after hitting the stumps. It was Jofra Archer who bowled a good length delivery at the left-hander and Soumya Sarkar went for a drive, leaving a big gap between bat and stumps.
That eventually hit the top of the stumps and the ball went over the boundary ropes that made everyone amazed. It is a rare scene to see in the game between bat and ball.
