Watch: Tayla Vlaeminck takes a blinder in ICC Women Word T20

Tayla Vlaeminck of Australia took an absolute blinder in a group game between Australia and India in the ongoing ICC Women’s World T20 in the Caribbean.

At present ICC Women’s World T20 is being played on the Caribbean island.  Ten teams are fighting in two groups in the group stage of the tournament after qualifying from the qualifiers.

The group stage games almost come to the end with only two games left in the group A. In group B India took on Australia on 17th November in the final group games for both teams.

India Women batted first and posted a total of 167/8 in the allocated twenty overs that were powered by the 83 runs from Smriti Mandhana and 43 runs from the captain Harmanpreet Kaur. During the Indian innings, Tayla Vlaeminck took an absolute blinder to dismiss Vedha Krishnamoorthy.

The incident happened during the 15th over. Ashleigh Gardener bowled a good length delivery to the leg stumps of Vedha Krishnamoorthy. Vedha swept it towards square leg and Tayla Vlaeminck was at the position.

Tayla made a jump slightly towards her right side and grabbed the ball in the right hand and ended up in one of the best catches in the ongoing tournament. Vedha Krishnamoorthy made her way back to pavilion with only three runs.

In the end, India women won the game by 48 runs since they bowled out their opponents for only 119 in Australia’s chase. With this win, India finished the group at the top position.
