As the match between Comilla Victorians and Dhaka Dynamites saw a thrilling battle between the two sides, a hilarious mistake from the on-field umpire was also witnessed during match number 26 of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Comilla won against Dhaka

It has not been many days since the controversial incident that took place at the Mirpur Shere-e-Bangla National Stadium during the T20I match between Bangladesh and Windies due to an umpire. The stadium saw yet another controversial incident tonight, but this time in the BPL.

It all started during Dhaka Dynamites’ batting when Mahedi Hasan was bowling the 7th over of the innings. The batsman who was facing the delivery was Rasooli and Mahedi bowled a delivery way over the off-side. It would have been undoubtedly called a wide if the batsman would have left the ball.

But Rasooli tried to cut it and he miss-timed the ball which led to an outside edge. Just after a second, Comilla were absolutely stunned after they saw the umpire signaled a wide. The bowler looked in absolute disbelief and so as the wicket-keeper Anamul Haque and skipper Imrul Kayes.

The players argued with the umpire for some time, but that didn’t bring any change to his decision. During the strategic break, Comilla Victorians’ coach Mohammad Salahuddin came all the way to the pitch and talked with the umpire and that didn’t make the skipper of Dhaka Dynamites Shakib Al Hasan happy as he complained to the umpire straight away. As soon after that, Salahuddin left the field pushing the Dhaka’s skipper away.
