Video: Terrorist Brenton Tarrant appears in court

The Australian suspect Brenton Tarrant killed 49 people on Friday in Christchurch and stunned the peaceful country New Zealand.

The Friday afternoon has been one of the darkest day in the history of New Zealand after a 28-year old Australian named Brenton Tarrant rushed to a mosque in Christchurch with more than five weapons.

He even live-streamed the whole video on facebook and killed at least 49 people including children after reaching to the mosque.

The Bangladesh team, who were all set to play the third Test match against New Zealand on Saturday were also on their way to that mosque for the Friday pray. But due to 4-5 minutes of delay from the Test captain, the whole team survived and escaped from the terrifying terror attack.

 

Meanwhile, the Tarrant has been arrested and he appeared in a Christchurch district court on Saturday. He was remanded with a plea until his next appearance on April 5. Tarrant did not speak a work neitherhis lawyer and he also made no application for bail or suppression.

Tarrant ‘worked as a personal trainer before travelling the world to North Korea and Pakistan as well as Europe’.

Two other suspects were also taken to the custody while police tried to determine their role. One more surprising thing that none of those arrested had a criminal history or was on any watch list in New Zealand. However, it was by far the deadliest and horrifying shooting in modern New Zealand history.
