Indian captain Virat Kohli splits as Ishant Sharma and Steve Smith mimic each during the 27th over of Australia’s first innings of second Test against India in Bengaluru.

The incident took place in the morning session of day two of the Bengaluru Test when the Aussies were 59/1. Pacer Ishant bowled a delivered outside the off stump to Australian captain Smith. They started sledging. Ishant had a mimic at Smith.

The next ball, the same thing happened. Indian captain Virat Kohli laughed at them at the slips. The incident is now viral on social media.

Australia have fought hard to take the lead of 48 runs in their first innings against India on the second day of the second Test at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Happily for the visitors, they have still 4 wickets in hand to extend the edge in the third day – Matthew Wade and Michael Starc both unbeaten scoring 25 and 14 respectively.

Ravindra Jadeja is so far the most successful bowler for India — bowling 17 overs, he took 3 wickets giving away 49 runs while Ishant Sharma, Ravichandran Ashwin and Umesh Yadav took 1 wicket each.

India, in their first innings, scored 189 runs losing all wickets in 71.2 overs. Lokesh Rahul scored the highest 90 while the second highest score of 26 runs went to Karun Nair.
