Australia completed a dominant whitewash over Sri Lanka in the recently concluded three-match T20I series in Australia. The series was completely dominated by Australian batsmen.

Australian opening batsman, David Warner was in red hot form throughout the series. He was the solo star in the series as he bagged both man of the series as well as the man of the match awards in all three matches.

In the third T20I, smashed 57* off 50 with the help of 4 fours and a six and took his team over the line when chasing a target of 143. After been asked to bat first Sri Lanka posted a competitive total of 142 for six where Kusal Perera scored a 57 off 45.

But the hosts chased down easily. During the chase, David Warner had a lucky moment as the bails failed to dislocate from the stumps after being hit twice by the ball. With that lucky escape, the opening batsman managed to remain unbeaten till the end of the chase.
