Chasing a target of 119 runs in 18 overs set by Pakistan, the hosts sailed to victory quite comfortably in 15.5 overs, with 13 balls to spare. Virat Kohli once again emerged topscorer in an India-Pakistan showdown, scoring unbeaten 55 runs off 37 balls with the help of 7 fours and one six.

And to make things even more delightful for the Men in Blue, the India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (13 off 9 balls) from whose bat came the winning runs. And now it’s a clean sheet (11-0) for India over Pakistan in World Cup contests. As expected, Kohli is the man of the match.
