Dhaka Dynamites’ coach Khaled Mahmud Shujon confirmed the reports that Watson will not be available for any matches this season.
Khaled Mahmud expressed the frustration for losing a top performer before the tournament saying, “It is our bad luck; Watson has fallen into a sudden cuff muscle stricture and will not be here for us.”
The Dynamites coach also revealed Kieron Pollard, the West Indian super hitter is now highly likely to replace Shane Watson for the tournament.
He said, “Actually there is no time now to look for alternatives. We will go forward with Pollard now.”
Kieron Pollard’s rich T20 career consists of 387 matches. He captured 251 wickets with a strike rate of 151.10. He also scored 7578 runs.
